As the new owners of the Talbot Inn, we are delighted to welcome you to our wonderful coaching inn in the picturesque village of Ripley. Steeped in history and intrigue, the Talbot Inn has for many years provided a warm welcome for travelers and locals alike and still continues this tradition today. Dating back to 1453, many famous historical figures have crossed our threshold and it is reputed that Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton were regular visitors to the inn.

Now under the stewardship of the dynamic Reuben Waller, you will find many changes afoot including the warmest welcome imaginable. This is matched only by the sensational food on offer from our talented kitchen team headed up by Ian Richards. As a team, we are passionate about restoring freehold inns and offering not just an unrivalled welcome, but also sensational food, stylish bedrooms and sensible prices. Our premises rapidly become recognised not just for a fabulous food offering but also for the fact that the pub is at the heart of the business so you are as welcome here for a pint of real ale, as you are for a gastronomic experience. Our focus on great food in relaxed, informal surroundings makes us equally ideal for a casual lunch or a special occasion meal. The Talbot also boasts a lovely garden with plenty of space so it is ideal for al fresco drinking and dining.

We are exceptionally excited by the opportunities presented by The Talbot and later in the year we will be carrying out an extensive refurbishment programme to restore this lovely inn to its former glory.
