We are delighted to announce that the Talbot Inn is now officially ‘back’ after its extensive refurbishment programme. Our doors will reopen on the 27th September and we cannot wait for you to come and visit us and see all of the wonderful things that we have done. That includes 40 new en-suite bedrooms, a fabulous new dining room, new meeting and conference facilities and a complete face lift for the rest of the building. Please rest assured though that we have respected this stunning coaching inn with its long history and have made the best use of all of its wonderful features. So for those of you who have cherished the lovely bar, you will find it as characterful and welcoming as ever!
By way of some background for those of you new to the Talbot Inn, the Talbot is one of Britain’s finest historic coaching inns and is conveniently located in the picturesque village of Ripley just a few miles from the A3 and the M25. Steeped in history and intrigue, the Talbot Inn has for centuries provided a warm welcome for travelers and locals alike and still continues this tradition today. Dating back to 1453, many famous historical figures have crossed our threshold and it is reputed that Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton were regular visitors at the inn.
